About Dr Jessica Preece

Dr Jessica Preece is a specialist Endocrine and General Surgeon based in Hobart, Tasmania.
Jessica grew up in Hobart and completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania graduating in 2009. She undertook internship and residency at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne before undertaking specialist General Surgery training in Victoria and Tasmania through the South West Regional Training Hub. She was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in General Surgery in 2020 and undertook a fellowship in Acute General Surgery at Eastern Health, Victoria. Following this, she completed an 18 month fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at St Thomas’ Hospital, London United Kingdom before returning to Hobart, Tasmania to commence consultant practice.
She is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, General Surgeons Australia and Australia and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons Association.
Jessica enjoys music, long distance running, skiing and spending time with her young family.
